The Congregational Church of Belmont will present its 33rd annual Chocolate Fest on Oct. 16 and 17 this year.
Twenty different vendors of chocolate wares (ice cream, gelato, brownies, cakes, cookies, truffles and candy of every sort, as well as chunks of pure chocolate) will offer samples for tasting for the 800 guests. Chocolate Fest will be organized in three sessions: Friday evening, 7:30-10 p.m.; Saturday afternoon, 1:30-4 p.m.; and Saturday evening, 7:30-10 p.m.
Guests are invited to take part in unlimited tasting, champagne and coffee, a chocolate boutique and prizes. The Michael Medwid Jazz Trio will play all three sessions. Proceeds from Chocolate Fest benefit outreach projects within the community (such as Samaritan House, Second Harvest Food Bank and the Interfaith Hospitality Network) as well as the effort to maintain the historic church
Tickets for all sessions are $25 at the door and $22.50 if ordered before Sept. 28; seniors and children will be $20 on Saturday afternoon only. Childcare, provided by screened professional caregivers, will be available at all three sessions and can be reserved when you order tickets. Children in childcare are welcome upstairs at Chocolate Fest with a parent or downstairs in childcare.
